When our new gal pal Gina Duckworth cordially invited us to the Next Artists Fashion Week Beauty Lounge (spearheaded by Gina and her team) we cordially replied, “YES, PLEASE!!” An afternoon of complimentary services provided by the Next Artists team (best in the biz) including makeup, manicures, cryo facials, massages, and so much more, along with the most amazing goodie bags – well, do you know us?!

The Wedding!

A wedding is really just a big party, but on a grander scale (and more fun) than that of a Sunday brunch. After a year and a half of planning with my fiancé Michael, August 6th was upon us. We could not have done any of it without our family and friends, including these truly talented Litchfield County businesses below. They graciously opened themselves up to our blogging adventures while we were planning our big day. And it all came together beautifully! Enjoy the photos by our wedding photographer (Fritz Photography) and now friends, Bill Fritz and Corey Roberts, taken at The Country Club of Waterbury

Salvatore Anthony Hair Studio, located in one of Litchfield County’s prettiest villages (New Preston), opened for business in April. Acting as Litchfield County’s welcome wagon, we visited Sal for a little “getting to know you” session! We were also in need of a really good hair day for our J. Seitz & Co. fashion shoot, so things worked out perfectly.

Sal’s Aveda hair studio is elegant (cashmere drapes and leather clad shelves), modern, and comfortable. A handsome, huggable, and talented hair colorist/stylist – Sal divides his time between NYC (where he is a Master Stylist at the Scott J. Salon) and his studio in New Preston (find him there by appointment Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).

We yelled out our questions over the noise of the dryer…here’s what we think we heard… 😉
