Bev and Lora headed to the David Gavin Salon located in Kent town center, to learn the secrets to obtaining the perfect blow out. You know how it is; you leave the salon with hair so swishy you can’t believe it’s the same hair you walked in with. How do they do that? Well, we were determined to take notes and capture it on film so we can all get the same effect at home. Worth a shot right?! Here’s the top tips we picked up.

If your answer is No followed by Yes, then get yourself along to 9 Main Bakery and Cafe for a lil’ something fresh and delicious. Enjoy the zen of lunching in such a picturesque town and knowing that you are in good eating company, Hillary and Bill Clinton stopped by last summer, and Martha Stewart was there picking up some lunch just last week.

Brad Tranfield, owner of Robertson Jewelers both in New Milford and Litchfield, invited us into his New Milford store with open arms. He was brimming with enthusiasm talking about all the amazing lines he carries, the history behind his store’s location, the things that sets his store apart from others, and most importantly, the willingness to let us try on some of his gems so we could play at being jewelry models for the morning. How fabulous!

We had the pleasure of meeting actress Mizuo Peck, known for her role as Sacajawea in the Night at the Museum movies, when she came up from the city to Lora’s studio in New Milford for a photo shoot in March. Mizuo is beautiful, as well as poised, composed, and gracious enough to let Unlocking Litchfield practice our interviewing techniques on her.
